Flotilla 03:36
Ur stuck in a place that once freely gave, that’s all gone U search always, in dead ashes of home ur mind is sinking sand heart buried, stolen land and we’ve fallen so far Vibrations stir the motions she cracks under our potions, no longer free - don’t call on me sing out for the sea What was that the wise man said? No possessions, no obsessions, no retaliations - imaginary nations delusional foundations we pay into our prisons Vibrations stir the motions whose fault is it we’re broken? No longer free Expired liberty Sing for the ones who see, the ones who see

Side Saddle 05:25
side saddle into sunsets U ride away double life synchronized U straddle the days a cliff edge lined with old dull knives in old habits, turning tricks to satisfy the other side remains fantasized silver clouds, lining stormy vows skeleton trees, shimmering seeds a place where the fountain drips with all U need (all I need) stepping stones made of bones, I’m wobbling ancestor whispers, what they did for me tag the walls, ur hieroglyphics chip away crackling codes defying ancient ways I’m a link in your chain, rusted weight I’m the one to break the patterns of hate and shame, Southern games, no one to blame but yourself the rocking chairs reverberate - do U remember the old days? runnin thru my dreams, U were always a ghost to me slippin thru the door upon waking, a kiss on my cheek since I was 5, half-life of longing hangin at night with angels of haunting felt like I was belonging, they said I was sinning so I kept on pretending - when we saw U there, sitting on a fallen tree, rope swing staring in the mist rolling in from the river a finger to ur lip, hear the winds as they whisper U said that’s all that matters, the scene gives me shivers just ride that horse into the sunset, and don’t U dare look back searching for love in bar corners, who saves U tonight from yourself? I’m a night rider, just like my father gettin love on the run, leavin them in the dust just ride that horse into the sunset & don’t U dare look back

Ether 04:01
toes hang over the edge look down at the clouds not over ur head pulling, pulsing magnetic ether wind drawing U in all directions ur weight pressed against the air stream the breeze pressing U so heavily U are suspended in light U see horizon endlessly dizzy at such a height are U falling or floating into the light? spinning, stirring, the compass in ur mind U need some rest on your hammock tonight a net of silver thread spun tightly to catch ur fears and dread of leaving U are suspended in light U see horizon endlessly ( let me take U ) U hear the voices in the air, U better find out what's down there U see endlessly

leather satchel, tie your bones scale the mountains to his throne circling in the search to feel whole your heart heavy pulsing with see-through holes enter a deep and heavy haze crystals lining secret caves peaceful, without words he plays a new wave you’re underneath your sorcerer’s gaze suddenly your steps get heavy staggering, stalagmites in your way the dripping down from above hardens every day endless pools of moonmilk sinters fire faces, stone-mouth members visions inbreeding dimensions your flesh in color haunting my perception he tells U not to justify just funnel all the fear inside his wand waves and you’re stunned, petrified your raw hide has mineralized suddenly your steps get heavy staggering, stalagmites in your way old witch's claw reach through the clay for thoughts still pure before decay grandfather clock with a moon face he's winding up to play the pendulum disintegrates it’s falling down around you, what’s real or fake? crystals crashing, visions smashing… time ends now, with a bigger bang

Lithium 03:46
What if the things you hated from your past had brought you here, a new species under the glass? How do you think you’d arrived, could you explain what you were raised on? Your own exciting lies They came before you in your eyes, they’re just 2 denials dreams & feelings only they knew we are their cryptic disguise All you want is an exit you're only here for inexistence You think you're doing something different fate takes your hands, changes up those plans don’t pride yourself on the fall of the cards the house was flimsy from the beginning Animal eyes, whisper to me I do not see enough to know me no pill that you take will ever make it right I am now leaving you let me lose my mind too much within, can’t get without, there’s always lithium

about

This album took 4 years to realize and was made possible by my friends who are all featured on this album - their boundless love, talent, and energy astounds me - and this magnetic place I came to more than a decade ago - Ithaca. It is dedicated to my Dad, Tim.

Through creating these songs, I've had bizarre and normal experiences involving death and mortality. For a while I unknowingly existed in a state of anxiety - every move as if something bad was about to happen. Over the last 4 years I've watched myself grow in reflections on my Dad's passing, and said goodbye to my grandma, a special home in the NC mountains, a relationship, my 1st band, and one of my best friends, my aunt Rebekah, in a tragic car accident due to a drugged & drunk driver. 2 years ago a good friend and artist passed from an overdose. I finished recording vocals this Summer 2 days before my lifelong BFF passed away - my Nana Virginia - who was able to hear mixes from her hospital bed.

(letter cont'd with purchase of album)....

When I was brainstorming a title, research revealed that classical necromancers did what I've done -- and that the oldest literary account of necromancy is found in Homer’s Odyssey, where Odysseus realizes he can't summon the spirits without the help of others. I hope you'll find what your heart is seeking, too. Thank you for listening.
